This is a delightful light cream soup with a delicate taste. Turmeric gives it a warm colour and lovely flavour.


Serves: 3 

  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 2 cups (500ml) water
  • 1 stock cube
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 50ml cream
  • pinch salt
  • white pepper, to taste

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Steam the cauliflower, whole, in the pressure cooker with a little water, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, stock cube and cauliflower and simmer, covered, 15 minutes. Add the turmeric and cream and puree with a hand blender. Season as desired with salt and white pepper.
