    Instead of peanuts you can use crushed walnuts, cashews, chestnuts... or a mixture! A lovely Christmas dessert.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 3 egg yolks
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 400ml sour cream
    • 1 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
    • 1 1/2 packets vanilla wafers
    • milk, for dipping

    1. With an electric mixer beat the egg yolks, sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Stir in peanuts (save a little for garnish) and sour cream then mix well.
    2. Dip the wafers one at a time in the milk and line a baking dish with them. Cover with a layer of cream. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of cream.
    3. Sprinkle with remaining peanuts. Refrigerate a few hours before serving.
