4 eggs, separated
250g unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
4 drops vanilla essence
2 cups cocoa powder
200ml sour cream
500g vanilla wafer biscuits
chocolate milk, as needed

Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
Beat the egg yolks, butter and sugar together until creamy. Stir in vanilla, cocoa powder and sour cream then beat well. Fold in the egg whites gently and evenly.
Dip the wafer biscuits in chocolate milk one at a time and use to line a baking dish. Cover with a layer of chocolate cream. Repeat layers, ending with cream. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until firm, about 4 hours.
