I love asparagus but am not a fan of boiling it, this simple sauteed recipe gives me the best results for flavour and colour.
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon oilive oil
1 bunch asparagus
sea salt, to taste
- Heat a frypan over medium heat, then add the butter and olive oil.
- Add the asparagus and shake the frypan to combine the butter and oil, to coat the asparagus in the oil, and the to create a single layer of asparagus.
- It takes only about 10 minutes to cook (depending on the thickness of the asparagus), Try to turn about 3 time during this cook time.
- Towards the end of cooking season with salt to your personal preference.
