Creamy Scalloped Potatoes With Garlic and Bacon

    Eat them on their own or with meat and veg. These potatoes are so good, I could eat the whole lot myself.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 8 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
    • 4 rashers short cut bacon
    • 8 teaspoons minced garlic
    • 2 cups (approximately) grated cheese
    • salt, to taste
    • 600ml thickened cream

    Directions
    Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:1hour30min  ›  Ready in:1hour50min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Using a 9x13" (23 x 33cm) baking dish, cover base with a layer of potato.
    3. Sprinkle with 1 rasher chopped bacon, 2 teaspoons garlic, salt and a handful of cheese.
    4. Continue layering with ingredients. Lastly pour the cream over the top.
    5. Cover with foil and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
    6. Remove from oven, remove foil, sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted and brown.
