Chocolate Bananas with Peanuts

    A favourite summer treat from childhood, you can chill these chocolate bananas until the chocolate just sets or serve them completely frozen.

    Makes: 4 chocolate bananas

    • 1 cup chocolate melts
    • 4 firm bananas, peeled
    • ice block sticks
    • 1 cup roasted salted peanuts, finely diced

    Preparation:10min  ›  Extra time:30min freezing  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Line a plate with wax paper.
    2. Place the chocolate melts in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and microwave 3 minutes, stirring halfway through.
    3. Insert an ice block stick into each banana and dip in the melted chocolate, turning to coat (or use a pastry brush).
    4. Sprinkle the peanuts over the dipped bananas, place them on the plate and pop in the freezer for half an hour.
