Baked Caramelised Apples
These apples are lovely as a dessert by themselves or with cream but they are also a great pancake or crepe topping.

3 apples, peeled, cored and cut into thick wedges
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup apple juice
- Preheat oven to 230 degrees C.
- In a baking dish, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and salt then toss well to coat the apples. Spread them out in a single layer.
- Bake 10 minutes until apples are starting to soften. With a spatula, flip them over. Return to the oven and bake five more minutes.
- Add the apple juice and stir again. Bake 5 more minutes, until juice is getting syrupy. Remove and let cool before eating.
