Tahini is ground sesame seeds and is used in many dips such as hummus and baba ganouj. This dip is for the garlic lovers! Serve with pita bread.

Makes: 2 cups dip

  • 12 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2/3 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water

  1. Place unpeeled garlic cloves on an oven tray and bake in a hot oven about 10 minutes or until soft. Let cool and peel cloves.
  2. In a food processor, combine garlic, cumin, zest and tahini.
  3. Mix the lemon juice and water together and add in a thin stream while the food processor is running. Spoon into a serving bowl and sprinkle with a little extra cumin.
