Tandoori Lamb Cutlets

    A lovely tandoori spice marinade for lamb chops or cutlets. They are best on the barbecue but you can also cook them on a grill pan.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 cup yoghurt
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, diced
    • 3 cloves garlic, diced
    • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • few drops orange or red food colouring (optional)
    • 12 lamb cutlets

    1. In a food processor, blend together yoghurt, onion, lemon juice, oil, ginger, garlic, chilli, garam masala, cumin and optional food colouring until pureed.
    2. Combine lamb cutlets with yoghurt mixture, cover and refrigerate overnight.
    3. Cook the cutlets on the barbecue until browned and tender.
