Make your own spicy mango chutney in the slow cooker and serve it on the side with chicken or lamb curry. It will keep weeks in the fridge.

Makes: 2 cups chutney

  • 5 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 5cm fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 90ml white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:6hours  ›  Ready in:6hours20min 

  1. Put all the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir well.
  2. Cook on High for 6 hours or until thick.
