Curry powder and red chilli powder add a spicy kick to these simply marinated prawns. They will need to marinate 2 hours before barbecuing for best results.


Serves: 6 

  • 1 kg prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste

  1. In a bowl, combine the garlic, curry powder, lime juice, olive oil, chilli powder and salt and pepper to taste. Add the prawns and marinate 2 hours in the fridge.
  2. Thread the prawns on skewers and barbecue 3 minutes each side.
