A simple orange duck recipe which is hardly any work at all! Duck breasts are simmered in wine, orange juice and stock and finished with Cointreau and creme fraiche.


Serves: 6 

  • 6 duck breasts
  • 3 oranges, juiced and zested
  • 100ml dry white wine
  • 100ml Cointreau
  • 300ml beef stock
  • 100ml creme fraiche
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour10min 

  1. Place the duck breasts side by side in a casserole dish.
  2. Add the white wine, orange juice and stock. Simmer over low heat 45 minutes.
  3. Add the zest and cointreau and simmer 15 more minutes.
  4. Stir in the creme fraiche and serve!
