Classic Cream Cheese Cupcake Icing

    You can't beat cream cheese icing on cupcakes! To make an attractive pattern, dip the cupcakes in the icing and twist to make a swirl.

    • 120g cream cheese, softened
    • 60g unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 cups icing sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 3 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

    1. Beat the cream cheese and butter together until light, then add the icing sugar, salt, milk and vanilla and beat until thick and smooth. You may need to add a little more milk.
