A lovely zest-flecked cake glaze which is ideal on ring cakes and sponge cake. You could also try using lime or tangerine zest.

Serves: 8 

  • 220g icing sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • zest of 1/2 orange
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients then drizzle over cake and let harden.
