Garlic Chicken Meatballs

    These little chicken meatballs are a Chinese appetiser which make great party finger food. They are very simple to make.

    Serves: 8 

    • Meatballs
    • 900g chicken mince
    • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons cornflour
    • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
    • 2 egg whites
    • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
    • 2 tablespoon sherry or rice vinegar
    • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
    • To cook
    • 1 cup cornflour
    • 4 cups oil, for deep frying

    1. Mix all of the meatball ingredients well. Form into balls about the size of walnuts and place on wax paper.
    2. Heat the deep frying oil to hot. Roll the balls in the extra cornflour and deep fry in batches until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
