    When making tandoori chicken the chicken is always marinated for a few hours in a yoghurt mix to tenderise the meat.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • Marinade
    • 1 cup yoghurt
    • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 2 teaspoons garlic, finely diced
    • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, finely diced
    • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon red pepper
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • Chicken
    • 2 kg chicken drumsticks

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Extra time:5hours marinating  ›  Ready in:5hours40min 

    1. Mix together all the marinade ingredients.
    2. Add the drumsticks and turn to coat well. Let marinate 5 hours.
    3. Preheat the barbecue and place the chicken on the rack. Cover and cook 15 minutes. Turn the chicken, cover and cook another 10 minutes.
