Orange Cake with Chocolate Chips

    This is a delightful cake that combines fresh orange with your favourite chocolate chips to make a delicious flavour.

    • 125g butter
    • 1/2 cup caster sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 1/2 cups cornflour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 orange
    • 50g grated dark chocolate

    1. Preheat an oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and line a ring tin.
    2. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well each time.
    3. Sift the flour with the baking powder. Grate the zest from the orange then juice it.
    4. Add to the butter the flour and juice alternatively. Fold in the zest and chocolate.
    5. Bake for 40 minutes, then let the cakes sit in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out.
