Crab meat is expensive but because it is so rich a little goes a long way, making this crab salad perfect for a buffet table or large dinner party.

Serves: 8 

  • 3 cups crab meat
  • 2 cups peeled and seeded tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cups avocado, diced
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 hard boiled egg, finely diced
  • dill sprigs, to garnish

  1. Combine the crab meat, tomatoes, avocado, lime juice, mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  2. Arrange the salad on a serving plate and sprinkle with the diced egg. Garnish with dill sprigs.
