Preheat oven to 120 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Place egg whites and sugar in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Beat until stiff and glossy, about 5 minutes. Remove bowl from water and keep beating until cool. Fold in the chopped nuts and candied peel.
Using a teaspoon scoop up dollops of the mixture and drop on the baking tray, about 5cm apart. Bake until set but not browning, about 15 minutes. Let cool on wire racks.
