This lemonade recipe uses honey instead of sugar for sweetness. I'm a fan of hot honey and lemon so I thought I would try it chilled.

Makes: 2 litres

  • 1 cup honey
  • 9 cups cold water
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:2hours chilling  ›  Ready in:2hours10min 

  1. In a saucepan, combine the honey and 1 cup water and heat over medium heat. Stir until the honey is dissolved, about 5 minutes, then let cool.
  2. In a container or jug combine the honey syrup, lemon juice and remaining water. Stir well then chill until cold. Serve over ice.
