    A lovely and simple dressing recipe for Caesar salad dressing involving anchovies, garlic, egg, lemon, mustard and Worcestershire. Serve over lettuce and croutons.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 anchovy fillets
    • 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
    • 1 very fresh large egg yolk
    • 5 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Place anchovies and garlic in a bowl and mash with a fork. Whisk in the egg yolk, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
