A different kind of pizza for those on a gluten free diet. The base is made of almond meal and egg whites, rather like a bready pancake. Healthy and delicious!


Serves: 1 

  • 2 tablespoons almond meal
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 egg whites
  • garnishes, e.g. fresh tomato and mozzarella
  • pinch salt

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Mix the almond meal with the olive oil and egg whites.
  3. Heat a small frying pan with a little extra oil and fry the batter like a pancake.
  4. Place the base on a baking tray and add garnishes, such as mozzarella and slices of fresh tomato. Sprinkle with salt.
  5. Bake until cheese melts.
