Airfryer Molten Chocolate Cake

    Creating the perfect molten chocolate cake can be quite difficult as the recipe is sensitive, but with the aid of the accurate temperature and timing of an Airfryer this recipe is a success every time.

    • 125g dark chocolate, chopped
    • 125g butter
    • 1/2 orange, juiced
    • 2 eggs
    • 70g brown sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee
    • 75g flour
    • 3g baking powder
    • 1 pinch salt

    1. Melt the chocolate and butter slowly. When completely melted add the orange juice and stir well to combine.
    2. In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar and instant coffee then beat with an electric mixer to a creamy consistency. Stir in the chocolate orange mixture.
    3. Gently stir in the flour, baking powder and salt. The batter only needs to be mixed slightly.
    4. Preheat the Airfryer to 180 degrees C.
    5. Pour the batter into a small buttered baking dish then place in the basket and slide the basket into the Airfryer. Set the timer for 10 minutes and bake until the timer rings and the cake is firm to the touch.
