A rich bolognese sauce is something every cook should have in their repertoire! In this version it is tossed with shell pasta and basil before serving.
Season the beef mince with salt and pepper then brown in a saucepan with the olive oil. Add the water, red wine and garlic and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the tomatoes and stock and simmer another 45 minutes.
Add the cheese and cream and simmer another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain.
