    I have seen this recipe all over the net lately, tried it and it was yum! A new family favourite :-)

    Serves: 2 

    • 500g beef mince
    • 1 packet of Taco seasonong
    • * water as called for on the back of the seasoning packet
    • 3 or 4 large flour tortillas, depending on the amount of layers you want
    • 1/4 cup cream cheese spread
    • 1 to 2 cups shredded cheese, a blend of cheddar and parmesan is good

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Brown and crumble ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add in taco seasoning and water (following directions on back of seasoning packet).
    3. Turn off heat and add cheese spread, stir thoroughly. (It looks a bit gross but tastes nice.)
    4. Spray 8 inch springform tin with cooking spray, layer - tortilla, mince, shredded cheese in that order until there is no mince left.
    5. Bake for about 15-20 mins until cheese is browned and edges are slightly crispy.


    Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve with salad and maybe a bit of salsa if desired. If you would like a bit of extra spice, add a touch of chilli powder to the mince along with the seasoning.
