Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and add the broccoli. Cook one minute, then remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon into a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. Drain, chop and set aside.
Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook until al dente. Meanwhile, heat oil in a non-stick saucepan, add bacon and cook for 1 minute until bacon is getting crisp. Add chilli and garlic and stir one minute more.
Add the drained pasta to the saucepan with the broccoli, lemon zest and juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine and heat for about two minutes. Serve with parmesan.
