    There's probably no easier cake to make then a banana cake where you just throw everything together. Add walnuts or choc chips if you like.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 1 cup (250ml) vegetable oil
    • 1 1/2 cups (300g) caster sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 3 cups plus 2 tablespoons (400g) self raising flour
    • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 5 medium bananas, peeled and mashed

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:1hour15min  ›  Ready in:1hour25min 

    1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees C. Grease and line a cake tin. Sift the flour together with the bicarb soda.
    2. Put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat well together. Pour into the cake tin.
    3. Bake 1 1/4 hours or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
