Roast Cabbage Wedges

    A cabbage head is sliced into wedges, seasoned with garlic and white pepper, topped with crispy bacon, drizzled with oil, wrapped in tinfoil then roast until just wilted.

    Serves: 8 

    • 1 head cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
    • 8 squares tin foil
    • 4 tablespoons olive oil
    • salt and white pepper, to taste
    • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 4 rashers streaky bacon, fried then diced

    1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
    2. Lay each wedge on a slice of tinfoil. Drizzle on the olive oil then season with salt, white pepper and garlic salt. Sprinkle on the bacon. Wrap up in the tinfoil.
    3. Place on a baking tray in the oven and cook until cabbage beings to soften, or your preferred doneness. 15-25 minutes.

    Cook's Note

    This can also be put on the barbecue grill alongside your meats.
