Fried Ham and Pineapple

    This is a dish I remember from when I was little but doesn't seem to get made much these days even though it is so quick and easy and perfect for a midwekk meal.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 4 ham steaks
    • 1 (400g) tin of pineapple

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Heat a frypan to a medium heat, then add oil. Add the ham and cook to warm through and get a nice brown on the outside. Total cook time about 15 minutes. Remove and rest.
    2. Heat the pan up and add the pineapple, cook until the pineapple starts to brown, turn then brown; total cook time about 5 minutes. Serve on the ham steak.
