Stir Fry Beef and Black Bean

    I keep a jar of black bean sauce in the fridge so I can make this when I am after a quick healthy dinner, just pick the meat, the veg and stir fry.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 carrots
    • 1 red capsicum
    • 1 green capsicum
    • 1 onion
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 large lean piece of steak
    • 4 tablespoons of black bean sauce
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1/2 cup water

    1. Prepare the vegetables, carrots, capsicum and onion by slicing into roughly even strips. Finely dice the garlic. Finely slice the steak into thin strips.
    2. Heat the wok to a high temperature then at the oil and steak. Cook until browned all over then remove from the wok.
    3. Add the vegetables and continue to stir, when they start to soften add the garlic, when almost cooked return the beef. Now add the black bean sauce with the water. Bring to the boil then serve with rice.
