This is a rich and flavoursome side that can be used in many ways, as a side, sauce for steaks or even part of a big breakfast.
bag mushrooms, about 25 medium mushrooms
salt and pepper, to taste
- Wash the mushroons then cut ready to cook, slice if moderate or large mushrooms, quarter if small.
- Melt the butter over a moderate heat, add the mushrooms and cook until they start to release their fluids, add the cream and mix together. Leave to simmer for 5 minutes. Serve.
