Kid's Christmas Cupcakes

    This is an easy cupcake recipe that can be made and decorated with the help of young children. You can make your own decorations or buy premade ones.

    • 185g butter
    • 185g sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 185g self raising flour
    • 1 tub of favourite icing
    • lollies or similar to decorate the cupcakes

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Prepare a cupcake tray with patty cups.
    2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time beating until smooth between each addition. Sieve the flour then gradually combine into the mix.
    3. Using a spoon place the mixture into the prepared cupcake tray 3/4 full. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and skewer comes out clean. Cool.
    4. When cooled add the icing to the top of the cake and decorate with Christmas themed decorations.
