Tasty bacon and egg pie with cheese, onion and tomato in a shortcrust base makes a mean dinner that is quick and easy as to prepare.

Serves: 4 

  • 1 sheet shortcrust pastry
  • 8 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/2 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup cheese, grated
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • pepper, to taste

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:45min 

  1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
  2. Line a pie dish with the shortcrust pastry. sprinkle in the onion. Sprinkle in the cheese. Pour in the eggs, then sprinkle in the bacon. Top with the tomato slices. Sprinkle with pepper.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until set. Slice and enjoy.
