Carob slice filled with sunflower seeds, walnuts and wholemeal flour. These are a healthier dessert option or a better sweet treat for your wee one's after school snack.
Preheat oven to 170 degrees C. Grease a 18x28cm cake tin.
Cream together butter and honey. Beat in eggs, salt and vanilla. Stir in carob, wholemeal flour, milk powder and baking powder. Blend into a creamed mixture. Stir in sunflower seeds and peanuts.
Turn into a greased tin and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool then cut into bars.
Substitution
You can use walnuts in place of the peanuts or sunflower seeds.
