    Brownies sans chocolate are sometimes called blondies. These are sweetened with treacle and are choc full of walnuts. Tastes yummy with a side of ice cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 130g self raising flour
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon treacle
    • 90g sugar
    • 30g butter
    • 30g chopped walnuts

    Directions
    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
    2. Sift flour and salt. Beat eggs slightly then add sugar and treacle. Beat until mixture is thick. Sift in flour mixture then fold in lightly. Fold in the melted butter.
    3. Pour into patty pans, sprinkle with nuts then bake for 10-15 minutes.
