Brownies sans chocolate are sometimes called blondies. These are sweetened with treacle and are choc full of walnuts. Tastes yummy with a side of ice cream.
130g self raising flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon treacle
30g chopped walnuts
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
- Sift flour and salt. Beat eggs slightly then add sugar and treacle. Beat until mixture is thick. Sift in flour mixture then fold in lightly. Fold in the melted butter.
- Pour into patty pans, sprinkle with nuts then bake for 10-15 minutes.
