    Fresh paua cut into strips, crumbed in breadcrumbs then fried until golden brown. These are great as a main course for dinner or as an entree.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 4 paua
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • garlic powder, to taste
    • 60g butter

    Directions

    1. With a meat tenderiser, beat the white party of the paua. Slice into thin strips.
    2. In a bowl, combine flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Roll the paua strips in the mixture until well crumbed.
    3. Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium high. Fry paua until golden brown on each side and cooked through, less than a minute.
