Using my Rewena Starter Recipe, you too can make amazing maori bread. It looks very cool if you dust flour over the top in a koru pattern.
Makes: 2 loaves
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add rewena then kneed well. Add more warm water, if needed, then continue kneeding for about 8 minutes.
- Shape into 2 round loaves. Bake at 230 degrees C for about 45 minutes.
