Easy and Healthy Wholemeal Bread

This recipe has only 4 ingredients! No oil, no sugar, no dairy. Good for all health conscious people.

Makes: 1 loaf

  • 250 ml water
  • 320 g wholemeal flour
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours10min 

  1. Warm up water to 40 degrees celsius and pour it in to the bread pan of your bread machine.
  2. Add yeast and 5g of wholemeal flour, stir it with a spatula till water gets murky. Cover the bread pan with a tea towel and leave it for 10-12 minutes so the yeast can ferment well in the dark.
  3. Add the rest of your flour (315 g) and a pinch of salt.
  4. Select the basic setting and bake it for 3 - 3:15 hours.


You can add a pinch of sugar instead of flour in the second step of the recipe.
