    A family tradition because Christmas is usually hot so a cold dessert is wonderful, yet simple to make ahead.

    Serves: 4 

    • 600 ml cream
    • 500 g natural yogurt
    • 1/4 cup castor sugar
    • 250 g dark chocolate
    • 1/2 cup chopped roasted hazelnuts or macadamias
    • 1/2 cup chopped raisins
    • Glacé or fresh fruit to decorate

    Preparation:20min  ›  Extra time:4hours freezing  ›  Ready in:4hours20min 

    1. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
    2. Blend half the cream with the yogurt and sugar.
    3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl until smooth but not too hot (microwave low or over hot water).
    4. Gradually blend in yogurt mixture stirring constantly.
    5. Stir in hazelnuts and raisins.
    6. Pour into a greased log tin and freeze for several hours or overnight.
    7. Immerse tin in hot water for about 20 seconds. Drop on a wooden board to unmould.
    8. Spread with remaining cream and refreeze until cream is firm. Defrost slightly to serve, decorate with fruit.
