This classic cheese cake has a crusty layer of biscuit crumbs, a rich cream cheese centre, then it's topped with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg to serve.
Makes: 1 cake
10 plain sweet biscuits, crushed
90g butter, melted
370g cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
whipped cream, to serve
nutmeg, to taste
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Mix the crushed biscuits crumbs with the melted butter then press firmly into a pie dish.
- Beat together the cream cheese, egg and sugar. Using a spatula, pour mixture into the biscuit base. Bake in preheated oven 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool then pipe with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.
