Classic Cheesecake

    This classic cheese cake has a crusty layer of biscuit crumbs, a rich cream cheese centre, then it's topped with whipped cream and a dash of nutmeg to serve.

    • 10 plain sweet biscuits, crushed
    • 90g butter, melted
    • 370g cream cheese
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • whipped cream, to serve
    • nutmeg, to taste

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Mix the crushed biscuits crumbs with the melted butter then press firmly into a pie dish.
    2. Beat together the cream cheese, egg and sugar. Using a spatula, pour mixture into the biscuit base. Bake in preheated oven 25 minutes.
    3. Allow to cool then pipe with whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.
