Coconut-Free ANZAC Biscuits!

    This is a very cheap, low fat recipe. Also uses little ingredients and a great party food.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 10 biscuits

    • 60g butter
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon golden syrup
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspooon boiling water
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup (40 seconds approx)
    2. Dissolve baking soda in water and add to sugar mixture.
    3. Stir in flour, rolled oats and baking powder.
    4. Place teaspoonful amounts on a cold tray.
    5. Flatten with a fork
    6. Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Cool on tray.
    7. Enjoy!
    8. Makes Approx 10 bikkies.
