Delicious prawns smothered in creamy Alfredo sauce with fresh basil and smoked paprika are poured over a bed of your favourite pasta. Ready in 15 minutes.

Serves: 3 

  • 250g dry uncooked pasta
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, diced
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, sliced
  • 10 prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 500g prepared Alfredo sace
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 dash of Italian seasoning, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan

  1. Boil the pasta according to packet directions along with the teaspoon of olive oil.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil. Saute the onion until soft then add the garlic and basil, stirring for about 1 minute. Stir in the prawns then cook for about 2 minutes per side. Pour in the Alfredo sauce, smoked paprika and Italian seasoning. Mix well then cover and simmer until the pasta is done.
  3. Drain pasta and set aside. Season the pasta to taste with the salt and pepper then stir in the Parmesan cheese. Pour the pasta into the sauce then serve.
