With desiccated coconut, walnuts, almonds, currants and dried apricots, this tasty haroset is different than most and certainly more tasty too. Yummy.

Serves: 12 

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup sultanas
  • 1/2 cup currants
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots, diced
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sweet red wine
  • 1/4 cup boysenberry jam
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1 cup apples, grated

Preparation:25min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Soak all dried fruit in water overnight. In the morning, dice finely.
  2. In a saucepan stir together the coconut, cinnamon, wine, jam and nuts. When mixture begins to thicken stir in the dried fruit and apples.
  3. Remove from heat and refrigerate until serving.
