    This seed loaf is made in the bread machine. It comes out light and nutty. It is perfect for morning toast.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 10 

    • 3 tablespoons flax seed
    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
    • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon canola oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 185g bread flour
    • 5 tablespoons wholemeal flour
    • 1 1/4 teaspoons dried active baking yeast

    Directions
    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:3hours  ›  Ready in:3hours5min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Toast seeds on a baking tray for 4 minutes, then let cool completely. (This step is optional. The seeds can be added untoasted.)
    2. Place all of the ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Basic bread cycle and press Start.

    Took shortcuts. This is a great bread recipe, Donna. I've only made 12 loaves in 8 days. What does that say? The seed combination adds a nice nutty flavour. I didn't take time to toast the seeds, but other than that, I did exactly as the recipe states. Didn't have to change a thing to get a beautiful loaf of very flavourful bread. This recipe makes me look like a skilled baker, but its sooo easy my granddaughter can do it. All 12 loaves have come out perfectly every time. - 14 Jul 2008

    Used different ingredients. A really great thick bread. I added pine nuts to make it even heartier. Absolutely gorgeous! - 14 Jul 2008

    Used different ingredients. Very good. Makes a small loaf. Changes I made because I had no poppy seeds: 2 tbsp of flax seeds, 1 tbsp+2 tsp sunflower seeds. I love the taste of sunflower seeds in bread. - 14 Jul 2008
