These bran biscuits have flour, bran and only 1/4 cup of sugar. They make a tasty snack and are healthier than chocolate chippies but just as satisfying.

The Walters

Makes: 12 biscuits

  • 1 cup (130g) flour
  • 3/4 cup bran
  • 1/4 cup (60g) white sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 dessertspoons butter
  • milk or water, to bind

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
  2. Combine flour, bran, sugar, salt and baking powder. Rub in the butter. Stir in just enough milk or water to form a firm dough.
  3. Roll into balls then place on a baking tray. Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
