Coconut and Oat Macaroons

    These simple and economical coconut and oat macaroons are so easy. Just mix sugar, coconut, oats, butter and an egg then bake until done. Enjoy.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1/2 cup (110g) sugar
    • 3/4 cup (70g) desiccated coconut
    • 3/4 cup (70g) rolled oats
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 egg, beaten

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees C. Grease or line a baking tray with baking paper.
    2. Mix together all ingredients then drop in teaspoonfuls on to the greased tray. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.

    I would not try this recipe if eaten by a coeliac disease sufferer. Rolled oats are not recommended in a gluten free diet  -  01 Aug 2014
