Rolled Oat Munchers

    Instant oats combined with flour, sugar, butter and treacle are baked until golden brown to make a tasty biscuit. I love to put these in my kids' lunch boxes.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 20 biscuits

    • 2 cups (180g) instant oats
    • 1 cup (130g) flour
    • 1/2 cup (110g) sugar
    • 130g butter
    • 1 teaspoon treacle
    • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda, dissolved in
    • 1/4 cup (60ml) boiling water

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a baking tray.
    2. Combine dry ingredients. Mix in wet ingredients. Drop in heaping teaspoons onto the baking tray.
    3. Bake in preheated oven until cooked and golden brown, about 13 minutes.
