Peach Jam

    Tasty home made jam with peaches, lemon juice, almonds and sugar. This yummy jam is a family favourite and makes enough to share as well as enjoy yourself.

    Makes: 2 kg

    • 500g peaches
    • 2 litres water
    • 2 lemons, juiced
    • 30g almonds
    • 1 1/2 kg sugar

    1. Wash peaches in warm water. Pour boiling water over them then cover and allow to stand until cold. Wash in cold water then stand in cold water over night. Remove skin.
    2. Cut peaches into quarters, remove stone, cook in water with lemon juice and almonds until tender. Add sugar and cook for 30-40 minutes or until jam sets.
