    Mashed pumpkin with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and treacle, cooked in a pie case with butter, milk, sugar and egg makes a delicious end to any meal.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 pie

    • 1 pastry case
    • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin, cooked and mashed
    • 1/2 cup (110g) sugar
    • 2 tablespoons treacle
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/4 teaspoon ginger

    Preparation:40min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Extra time:1hour cooling  ›  Ready in:2hours40min 

    1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees C. Line your pie tin with pastry.
    2. Mix all remaining ingredients then pour into the pastry case.
    3. Bake in preheated oven until pie filling is set, about 45 minutes -1 hour. Cool before slicing.
