These oatmeal biscuits are buttery and delicious with rolled oats, flour, sugar and vanilla essence. What a yummy treat to enjoy with a cuppa.

Makes: 24 biscuits

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Extra time:10min resting  ›  Ready in:55min 

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees C.
  2. Mix oats, flour and sugar. Add melted butter. Add bicarb soda, boiling water and vanilla essence. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Roll into balls, place on baking tray, flatten with your hand then bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
